I have two sugargliders and one kinkajou.

I think it is a mongoose. It might be an illegal pet because I have never heard of a pet mongoose. I know when I lived in Hawaii they had wild mongoose and they were mean little suckers so I dont know if I would want one as a pet.

it's a perfect legal species to own, well, at least where I do live . Crossarchus obscurus aka cusimanse or western long-nosed mongoose. and those are some captive bred bottle-fed specimens, incredible tame and used to other pets. A great un-common exotic to have if you ask me! Clay

Those are quite pricey. As with many other exotics,if not all, it depends on their origin, I mean if wild caught-parent raised or captive-hand(bottle-fed)raised.
as wild ones (and mangooses are really mean beasts)you are expected to hand out something in between of 300 to 500 € , but those will never tame down and are intended to breeding or display only. Captives and hand raised ones are seldom available and really rare, IMEx, and mine I sell them for 1200€ each (1400 US$ more or less). That's not an adv., just an infos! Clay
